promise tribe

love all, worship one...www.promisetribe.com

A colleague of mine sent me a copy of a book that very closely parallels many of the lessons I learned at a conference I went to earlier in the year. I'd like to improve my learning of the material, but to do so I need someone off of whom I can bounce some of the material.

I would like to meet with a brother in Christ (preferably with a life characterized by a good level of discipline) at least once a week for about an hour or so just to verbally practice what I've learned, review it aloud, and otherwise make it more of a matter of something I've at least practiced in a "lab" rather than something that I've merely read and then nodded in agreement.

In return, you'll gain some insight into some of the workings of building bridges between people like you and me and others of whom we are often subtly encouraged to subtly hate [EDIT: that is, building bridges between Christians and Muslims]. I might even throw in a few tips/tricks that can help you with your computer, if you need it. :)

If you are interested in helping out, please contact me soon. (951) 236-2910

Thanks!

Matt

How delightfully vague! That makes it spooky!

I assume this is associated with cross-cultural missionary work?

Well now that you mention it...

Guess I'm not the only one capable of writing things and then not think about some of the implications.

It is associated with some cross-cultural work for Him. The book has to do with building bridges between Muslims and Christians--or rather Muslims and Jesus. That I can say.

Thank you, Cindy! Unfortunately I should have mentioned it would have to be a brother in the Lord. If I get someone to help me with this, you'd certainly be welcome to hang with the boys, but it will likely be a bit of a one-on-one check and balance as I work through the learning process.

I'll change the opening post to reflect that and avoid confusion. :)
