The Promise Tribe Kiva Club has made 14 small business loans to men and women all over the world trying to improve their lives.

This is called micro-lending. You make interest-free loans as small as $25 dollars through Kiva.org, and the entrepeneurs pay the loans back over 6-12 months on average. You get to see their faces, hear their stories and gather together with other folks trying to make the world a better place.

My current personal goal is to have $10,000 in my Kiva account, moving money from person to person all over the globe. In my mind, this is a way to give good news to the poor and release to economic captives. They can see the photos and hear the stories of the lenders, too.

"Don't store for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and rust destroy, and thieves break in and steal. Instead, store for yourselves treasure in heaven."
