things are going great out here!! Just got the call that the Doctors are taking Melisa’s brother, Freddy, off life support in about an hour.
He has been a true warrior and is now transitioning into the arms of our Savior. He leaves behind a wife and daughter and
a family who has stood strong with him through this battle. Please pray for the Devries family, for God’s comfort,
strength and peace as they navigate through the waters of mourning and releasing their brother, son, father and friend unto our God.

ha and its getting even better! we did a weekend home stay with the ladies - they seperated all of us and sent us each home with one of the ladies for the weekend. - CRAZY - i lived the true Acholi African life for a weekend - man way different - times i was pissed at nic and adam and sean for makin us do it and for the majority i wanted to hug them cause it was one of the sweetest things i have ever expereineced and i got to know two of the ladies so well and am so grateful. it was awesome.

OKAY so quick debrief of our first actual day here.
last night we finally arrived and i took a shower (a two second cold one where u have to turn the water off in between rinse for lather - because we will run out - which we did today, no more showers for a week probably) then i crawled into a three bed bunk bed and slept under a green mosquito net. woke up today and hung around in the morning then started meeting the ladies as they slowly showed up.
